The Lifestyle Poll is an online survey developed by Dr. Shauna Springer, a practicing Psychologist with professional expertise in close relationships and career and identity development. The Lifestyle Poll targets individuals in the "launching years," which is generally between ages 25-40 when careers, marriages, and families are typically being established. Questions in the survey focus on common areas of concern during this time period, and assess the decisions and compromises that people make in pursuing fulfilling lives.

QUICK FACTS ABOUT THE LIFESTYLE POLL PROJECT

• The two core goals of the project are to assemble important information on a variety of topics and to provide a cost-free opportunity for stimulating self-reflection and conversations between individuals and their friends and romantic partners.

• Information will be collected over a period of two years. Phase 1 involved collecting data from a sample of women.

• The quantitative portion of the poll is currently being revised. Based on the success of the first phase of the project, the scope of the project will be expanded to include any individuals between the ages of 25-40, whether female or male, gay or straight, single, dating, formally committed or married.

• The launch of the next phase of the Lifestyle Poll Project is planned for June 1st.

There are no known risks associated with participation in the study. Benefits of participation include the opportunity to receive a summary of the results of the first wave of data collected, as well as the opportunity to evaluate different areas of your life in a way you may not have considered in awhile.
